Adoption hurts everyone

Listening to Radio 4 this morning and thinking about their report on adopted children who go on to search the internet and social media in order to find their real parents.

The answer promoted is for courts to oder the real parents not to respond or search for their children.

No-one is asking the real question which is why those children are so unhappy in the situation that is considered best for them that they want to go home?

The adoptive parents are often hated by those children who resent being removed from their homes, probably not because of anything they have done but because they are the visible and present representatives of the state and social workers who have done this to them.

How about working to keep families together instead of breaking them up? The current situation is bad for everyone and needs proper reform, not just amending to put more barriers in the path of the needs and desires of unhappy children.
